Jean Ann Leander
Jean Ann Leander, a full time resident of Ashe County since 2002, joined High South Realty in June, 2007. She brings extensive marketing and advertising sales background in addition to real estate sales. She held positions in several advertising and marketing firms in Dallas, TX and Greensboro, NC and most recently was a realtor with a local West Jefferson realty firm.
After spending numerous weekends in Ashe County over the years canoeing the New River, hiking and picnicking, Jean Ann and her husband, Raymond, purchased their mountain home in the Boggs community in 1990. With busy careers in Greensboro, NC they looked forward on Friday afternoons to escape to their mountain getaway. After packing up on Sunday afternoons many time to drive back to Greensboro, their goal was to renovate their home for full time living and move to Ashe County to escape the heat, traffic, and city noise. Jean Ann left her position at a graphics design firm to coordinate their mountain home renovation and to prepare their Greensboro home for sale. Her husband sold his snack food manufacturing business in 2002 and they have been enjoying living in Ashe County ever since. She says, “It’s wonderful just to sit on the front porch and listen to the river or watch a group of wild turkeys graze in the woods on any given day of the week.”
From Pond Mountain to Peak Creek or from Creston to Grassy Creek, Jean Ann has become familiar with many communities and back roads of Ashe County. She believes a good realtor needs to be a great listener. Whether assisting you in the sale of your property or helping to locate the property you have dreamed of, she will help you to meet your goals.
